"Tend to The Garden of Your Mind" was inspired by the Buddhist teaching of Right Speech. The figure, enveloped by the huge creature, is in control as she holds its head in a symbol of defiance and strength. The arch of branches surrounding the painting evokes childhood fairytale forests with the promise of something soothing and safe beyond.
"Tend to The Garden of Your Mind" explores the evolution from childhood beliefs and cultural influences to developing a unique path and voice as an adult.
