“Volition” is from the series “Beneath The Surface”, which delves into the deep-rooted connections between plants and humans, exploring themes of communication, emotional bonds, and mutual reciprocity. It was inspired by an article of interesting jellyfish facts, including the fact that jellyfish can reproduce asexually or with a mate and can live from anywhere between a few months and 65 million years. Through these works, we are invited to reflect on how, as humans, we've drifted from our innate sense of belonging within the natural world—a relationship once defined by harmony and interdependence.
